Toy Runus Interuptus

Devil Dogs,

An alternate title would be "Feliz Navidadus Almost Notus...and 'Tuffie' rides Bitch...again..."
The ride was the Ellis County Toy Run put on by the Gryphon's MC. Route was to be from Midlothian to Ennis. Randy got a late start... Ronnie mostly didn't start, but all had a great time!

Attending were; Donnie, Ronnie (Tuffie???), Brix, Ken, Billy & Squeeze, Randy & Andy. Also along for the ride were two active duty Marine prospects.Pearl bein' MUCH better lookin' than her male counterpart...

After Law Dogs "Festivus Lets-All-Get Drunkus" gathering, Sunday dawned early and COLD. I take the hit for not gettin' E-1 (Randy) the word in time..."The bad is mine!" I got a sleepy 0830 call from Randy, still in his nightshirt--in Weatherford, responding to my earlier messages to be @ my hootch @ 0830... He kicked into warp speed & said he'd meet us in Waxahachie as I had told him that's where the Run would start... How many of you caught that?

I roared off the meet Top Billy & "Squeeze" at the Taco Cabana for the ride to the Cedar Hill rally point. I am told that I was "quite dashing" what with my leather aviator cap, goggles and white silk scarf flappin' in tha' breeze...

We rolled into the restaurant/rally point at about 0845 to find Alpha Company Commander Don "holdin' court"...tho it didn't look like anyone 'uz listenin' to him.
All eyes were on the telly watchin the news reports of Saddam's capture...alive!!
There were assembled, the aforementioned Donnie, Jim and the two prospects.
But no Ronnie...bike was broke...again! I called E-1 to set him straight on the location of the Toy Run (Midlothian...not Waxahachie). Soon Ken showed up...then Brix arrived from Tyler. Brix said he encountered fog that froze to his gloves...
Tha' Dog was COLD!!!!! State President had him a fresh cuppa' joe when he walked in the door. Tuffie showed up...in his truck, having bought a new battery for his scooter. All in attendance told him to go home, slap that bad boy into his motorsicle and that we'd meet him @ his hootch in 15 minutes...which we did.

Amidst a choking cloud of blue smoke, Tuffie fired some life into his scooter and the column headed south... for a few miles. Ronnie's shovelhead coasted to a stop surrounded by the rear guard. Donnie and the lead element already having traversed the crest of the hill ahead of us. We stood around as Tuffie (who'se bound to have had a lot of practice resurrecting the dead) got'r runnin' again... for a few more miles.
Repeat above paragraph...
Resurrected again, we make it into Midlothian...almost. Nobody had a pistol...so Ronnie tried to perform yet another miracle, while half of us went lookin for E-1. There musta' been a thousand bikers millin' around! Don starts lookin, but can't find him...at least not until he hollers "INCOMING!" Randy dropped & rolled, knockin' over some trash cans & Don closed on the racket... The "Wayward Dog" back in the fold, the lead element retraced our route and re-connected w/ the Maintenance Section. Ronnie stroked and ministered to the needs of "his baby'" while the rest of us made suggestions and generally offered encouragenent...

Randy, having had waaaaay too much
Jack Daniels tryin to focus the camera.
EXCEPT THE "DIRTY DOG THAT STOLE MY BACKREST!!!!!!!!!
That's the second time...for those of you who delete my stories w/out readin'm...

Ron & Don both encouraged us to go do the Toy Run, but ALL opted to stay & drink Billie's and my reserves of Jack Daniels while encouraging Tuffie and laughing at my "restlessness. Rigor Mortis had by now set into Ronnie's bike. Don calls his son to come get the bike..yet again. Feeling Ronnie's pain, I give the Dog my last Million dollar bill..
.to help with gettin' his scooter fixed...or buried...

Ronnie (Tuffie) ridin' "Bitch"...again, we finally make it to Ennis, drop off the toys and found the bar. everybody laughed, cut up, drank beer, ate cold hotdogs and had a fine
ol' time till it was time to head home Brix headed back to Tyler, Randy, Jim, Ken and the prospects sped west... Me, Billy'n Squeeze...Donnie & the Bitch decide to get some
chow before blastin' home.
Margaritas, beers,Tacos, enchiladas and shrimp coctails later, it's "on the road again." All made it home safely...I think.

Worth seeing again!

We're gonna' take up a collection to buy a bullet for Ronnie, so's he can fix the problem w/ his bike...once and for all.
Not sure if $1,000,000 is enough to fix tha' problem.

Ronnie, I love ya' Brother. If you decide to shoot it,
can I have your tanks???

Ya'll missed another good time!

Andy
